Multiple session course “Effective management and marketing of the territories, business and investment attracting”

In 2014 – 2015 Institute of Regional Development  implemented an international project within the Trans-Border Cooperation Program Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2007-2013 "Entrepreneurship Development through Improvement of Access to Investment Areas in Lubachiv municipality, as well as the Restoration of Degraded Land in Yavoriv District and Noviy Rozdil city "(No. IPBU.01.01.00-18-486 / 11-00, amount - 529 259 euros).

Within this project the multiple session course “Effective management and marketing of the territories, business and investment attracting” for representative of local authorities, NGOs, businesses, educational institutions of Yavoriv district and Noviy Rozdil city  (2 groups, 30 participants in each group) was conducted. Thematic scope of the multiple session course “Effective management and marketing of the territories, business and investment attracting”

 

Multiple session course “Effective management and marketing of the territories, business and investment attracting” for representative of local authorities, NGOs, businesses, educational institutions of Yavoriv district and Noviy Rozdil city  (2 groups, 30 participants in each group)

Module 1. Training program “The institutional landscape: the basic concepts, the types of institutions, the cooperation between institutions” was delivered on April 02nd – 03rd, 2014.

Topics covered:

Presentation of the project (goals, objectives, activities);

The concept of the social contract, the division of responsibilities between the sectors in society, the formation of the social contract in Ukraine

Ukrainian and European systems for regional development

Financial mechanisms of regional development

Instruments of regional development: local development agencies, business support centres, investment centres

Instruments of regional development: industrial parks

Possible scenarios for Industrial park in Novy Rozdil

Instruments of regional development: programmes for development of human capital

Instruments of regional development: centres for technology transfer, innovation centres

Management of local economic development: project approach

Novy Rozdil: key stakeholders, partnerships

Module 2. Training program “Project management: the basic concepts, current national and international programs, project planning and budgeting, lobbying” was delivered on May 22 – 23, 2014.

What is a project, projects’ classification

Project cycle management

Project cycle (phases of analysis, formulation, assessment, implementation, evaluation/monitoring)

Processes and instruments of project cycle management (scale of projects; resources – time, financial, quality, human; communication; supplies; risk analysis; project integration; LFW (Logical Framework), WBS (Work Breakdown Structure))

How to prepare project application for financing by different donors (budget, business, international).

Module 3. Training program “Marketing of Territory” was delivered on May 29-30th, 2014.

Development of the marketing plan of the site

Module 4. Training program “Partnership for the development of Yavoriv region. Partnership of community and local authorities for the development of the territory and the community” was delivered on June 19-20th , 2014.

Topics covered:

Analysing of the main stakeholders of the project

Creating Partnership Platform for District Development, defining its main activities, agreeing on priority actions of the platform

Developing communication skills and cooperation between local authorities, NGOs and the Regional Development Agency

Module 5. Training program “Strategic Management. Development and presentation of strategies of territorial development”was delivered on October 29-30th ,2014.

Module 7. Training program “Basics of Project Management” was delivered on January, 28-29 th, 2015.

Module 8. Training program “Fundraising and Project Development” was delivered on March, 12-13 th, 2015.
